Level Up Your Career: Free Workshop Series with GST Michigan Works

The Lapeer District Library is excited to announce the continuation of its partnership with GST Michigan Works to offer a series of free, quarterly workshops designed to help job seekers, youth, and adults build skills and advance their careers.

Resume Workshop – Monday, August 10, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. A comprehensive session to help attendees create and refine a professional, impactful resume.

The future session will include:

• Virtual Reality Career Workshop – Monday, October 5, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. Participants will explore different career paths using virtual reality headsets, engaging in short, interactive simulations that represent real-world job tasks. These workshops are designed to support individuals at various stages of their career journey, from high school students to adults seeking new opportunities. Each session will focus on practical tools, career exploration, and workforce readiness.

Although this is a quarterly series, attendees are welcome to participate in any individual session without committing to the others. Registration is required, and registration is currently open for the first and second sessions. All workshops are free to attend.
