Here at the Family Literacy Center, we want to be a catalyst for positive change. Since our founding in 1980, we’ve been driven by the same basic ideas: support, learning, empowerment, and progress.
Through quality staff and trained volunteers, we provide adult tutoring including GED instruction and support, basic literacy, and English as a Second Language (ESL) services. We also offer child tutoring and family programs. We strive to help people in our community reach their literacy goals. We are based in Lapeer County but also provide adult tutoring through our GST Michigan Works partners in Tuscola, Huron, Sanilac, and Shiawassee Counties.
