About The Foundation: Established in 1996 by, and for, the people of Lapeer County, the Foundation builds and manages permanent endowment funds from a wide variety of donors to provide grants that enhance the quality of life in Lapeer County, now and for future generations.
Our Mission Statement: THE LAPEER COUNTY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION LEADS AND SUPPORTS PROJECTS AND INITIATIVES THAT IMPACT THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN LAPEER COUNTY TODAY, TOMORROW, AND FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS.
The Lapeer County LEAF: The Lapeer County Education Achievement Fund (LEAF) is a children’s savings account program designed to encourage and incentivize saving for post-secondary education. This initiative is a collaboration between the Lapeer County Community Foundation (LCCF), ELGA Credit Union, the Lapeer County Intermediate School District, and the Lapeer County school districts. LEAF provides kindergartners with a savings account seeded with $25 and is designed to help students start saving for college or career training expenses. Families and students are supported with financial education lessons in the classroom and through community education workshops.
Give today. Impact tomorrow.
